Southern Oregon Hemp Growers Forum Set For Oct. 6
The Southern Oregon Research and Extension Center will host a series of presentations and discussions on timely hemp production topics and associated regulations during the Southern Oregon Hemp Growers Forum.
This event will be held online via Zoom for free, and registration is required. Registration closes at 4 p.m. the day of the forum. The presentations will begin at 5:30 p.m. PDT and end at 7:30 p.m. PDT.
During the October meeting, we’ll have presentations from:
- Tom Shellhammer, Professor of Food Science at OSU, to discuss how we can use principles for drying hops to inform techniques for drying hemp.
- Garrett Weaver, Project Manager with Coleman Agriculture, sharing experiences and lessons learn as a large-scale hemp drier.
- Gordon Jones, SOREC Extension Faculty, post-harvest field considerations and an overview of fall cover cropping for hemp.
