Spring Meadow Nursery Receives GardenComm Awards
Spring Meadow Nursery announced it has received Gold and Silver Medals of Achievement at the 2019 Media Awards, presented by GardenComm: Garden Communicators International.
The national award reportedly recognizes individuals and companies who achieve the highest levels of talent and professionalism in garden communications. The 2019 competition featured hundreds of entries in over 50 categories in the areas of writing, photography, digital media, broadcast media, publishing, speaking and trade.
Spring Meadow’s Stacey Hirvela and Shannon Downey received the Gold Medal of Achievement for their publication titled “A New Vision for Hardy Hydrangeas.” The booklet is an in-depth look at the Proven Winners ColorChoice line of hardy hydrangeas with plant descriptions, breeder information and large, full-color photography.
A Silver Medal of Achievement was earned for the recently released Spring Meadow Nursery website, designed by Stacey Hirvela and the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based marketing and design firm, Cull Group.
“We had an extraordinary response to Media Award entries this year and were very pleased by the diversity among GardenComm members and their innovative approach to the horticulture industry,” said Jo Ellen Meyers Sharp, GardenComm president. “We were very impressed with the quality of their work. It’s a unique group of creative professionals.”
