Syngenta Professional Solutions names new leader amid retirement
Syngenta names a new North America leader as Scott Reasons retires after 40 years. See what it means for the company and explore impacts on growers.
Syngenta Professional Solutions announced a leadership transition in North America, with Scott Reasons set to retire May 31 after a 40-year career. Dave Ravel will assume the role of head of Syngenta Professional Solutions North America effective June 1.
Reasons led the business for 16 years, overseeing expansion across the Americas and growth in professional markets including turf, ornamentals and pest management. His tenure included leadership across sales, marketing and business development functions.

Ravel brings more than 30 years of industry experience and has spent over 25 years with Syngenta and its legacy companies. As head of sales since 2012, he has worked across golf, lawn care and ornamental segments, strengthening customer relationships and supporting growth initiatives.
For greenhouse and ornamental growers, the leadership change comes as Syngenta continues to expand its portfolio of crop protection and pest management solutions. Recent product introductions and ongoing technology development are expected to support growers managing pest pressure and production efficiency.
“Scott has had an incredible impact on this business — from the culture he helped build to the trust he earned with customers and partners across North America,” said Dave Ravel, head of sales for Syngenta Professional Solutions.
