Terra Nova Nurseries Presents New 2009 Winter CatalogSource: Terra Nova Nurseries

Growers can now find all the information they need regarding Terra Nova Nurseries 50 newest introductions for 2009 – as well as old favorites – in a special, education-based winter catalog.

The 2009 winter catalog has been structured and streamlined to provide information easily and effectively. Its clean look and format is echoed in the Terra Nova Nurseries website. The goal was to provide customers a consistent style and design for easy access to all the facts, photos and insights needed to make informed purchasing decisions.

“Terra Nova Nurseries’ goal is to focus on varieties already loved by growers, landscapers, retailers and consumers in order to improve them in ways that will make gardeners consider each of them a ‘dream come true,'” said Dave Doolittle, marketing director for Terra Nova Nurseries.

The 2009 line-up includes some of North America’s most advanced genetics of agastache, echinacea, heuchera, heucherella and tiarella available on the market. This winter, Terra Nova Nurseries also introduced two new series that “break all the rules” in coreopsis and helleborus, according to Doolittle. Five new annual coreopsis varieties now bloom hundreds of flowers while maintaining a tight, compact habit throughout summer and fall. The second breakthrough series, Winter Jewels, consists of 10 new winter-blooming, double helleborus in an exclusive range of colors.

The catalog includes over-arching information about how each genus has been improved and in which regions, seasons and settings they work best (i.e. pots, borders, spreading, etc.). The new catalog is also full of helpful grower tips, creative plant combination recipes and landscaping suggestions based on trial research conducted by Terra Nova Nurseries staff.

“The combination of the new introductions and revised, education-based catalog provides retailers and landscape professionals with the latest advancements in plants, breeding and the related tools to succeed in 2009,” said Ken Brown, co-owner and sales manager.
