The Perennial Farm to introduce pollinator collection at Cultivate’23
The Perennial Farm will unveil its new collection of pollinator-friendly native plants, Queen Bee Natives, at AmericanHort’s Cultivate’23 this July.
Queen Bee Natives are retail-ready perennials that combine the multiple benefits of native plants with the essential qualities of pollinator plants. The exclusive program will be available to retailers and landscapers in limited quantities this fall and in fuller availability spring of 2024.
Queen Bee Natives is part of The Perennial Farm’s tradition of solution gardening, joining the popular solution collections of Treadwell Plants and Deer-leerious Plants, to provide consumer gardeners with smart solutions for successful gardens and landscapes.
The Queen Bee Natives collection is comprised of natives, native cultivars, and straight species carefully selected for performance in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. As natives, these plants will create inviting wildlife habitats and require less water, fertilizer, and pesticides, thus reducing maintenance, and add beauty and aesthetic to the landscape. Queen Bee Natives will be valuable in the critical effort to give food resources and habitats to pollinators, beneficial insects, and wildlife.
Exclusively grown and distributed by The Perennial Farm, the Queen Bee Natives collection is designed with the gardening consumer in mind, engaging them in retail with its illustrated “spokesperson” logo named Polly-nator, 1-gallon garden-ready plants identified with brand-specific labeling, and displays supporting POP bench wrap and signage. The program will have presence across various social media platforms.
“We created Queen Bee Natives to provide focused options for gardeners who understand the value and importance of native and pollinator-friendly plants,” says Tom Watson, director of marketing. “At the same time, we wanted to reach out to the new generation of gardeners to guide them in making plant choices that truly sustain and beautify their environments. Queen Bee Natives will be on display in booth #1628 at Cultivate’23.
