ThinkPlants adds DeVry Greenhouses to its network of member companies

ThinkPlants, which continues to bring to market and represent exceptional genetics as well as promote a high-quality and trustworthy supply chain for the North American nursery industry, has announced that DeVry Greenhouses has joined its network of breeders, growers and suppliers.

ThinkPlants family continues to expand the growing portfolio of genetics and broaden the reach ThinkPlants and its suppliers and customers have in the North American Market. DeVry Greenhouses, headquartered in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada, is the newest addition to the growing list of participants.

“We continue to work on increasing the presence of ThinkPlants perennials in Canada. The addition of DeVry Greenhouses as a young plant producer and participant is a strategic move to reach a larger number of growers in Western Canada,” Joey Wiseman, director of ThinkPlants said.

DeVry Greenhouses has announced the start of a perennial young plant program representing a good list of perennial genetics that are part of the ThinkPlants program. “We look forward to expanding our perennial rooting business,” Pete DeVry, owner of DeVry Greenhouses, said. “And we feel that being a part of the ThinkPlants program will help get the word out.”

This year, ThinkPlants has added DeVry Greenhouses, as well as other additions. Other memberships added this year include Linwell Gardens and Monrovia Nursery. Group members include Danziger, Syngenta Flowers, Creekside Greenhouses, Green Circle Growers, Gulley Greenhouses, Headstart Nursery, James Greenhouses, Kapiteyn, Kieft Seed, Kiwiflora, Plants Management Australia, Royal Van Zanten, Terra Nova Nurseries and Unex Inc.

“ThinkPlants was developed with the grower in mind,” said Wiseman. “Not only did we want to build a portfolio of outstanding genetics, but we also knew a strong supply chain was equally important for perennial growers in North America. We are confident that the recent additions of young plant suppliers in Canada will help expand access to the great perennials and first-class breeders we represent.”

Each ThinkPlants participant brings expertise in plant breeding, horticulture, technical support, supply chain, production, sales and marketing. ThinkPlants will be participating in the Canadian Greenhouse Conference, Oct. 4-5 in Niagra Falls, Ontario. For more information, visit devrygreenhouses.com.
