Third Recreational Shop Opens in MA
The third recreational marijuana shop in Massachusetts, Alternative Therapies Group, is now open for business.
To ease traffic concerns, only customers who previously booked appointments were allowed on Saturday to enter the facility in Salem.
Alternative Therapies is now the closest recreational dispensary to Boston. Two other shops opened last month in Leicester and Northampton. They are the first recreational marijuana shops on the East Coast.
On Thursday, the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission approved final licenses for four additional retail marijuana businesses in Fall River, Hudson, Pittsfield and Great Barrington.
