Transform Mixed Beds Into ArtworkSource: Perennial Plant Association

A well-designed mixed bed can be a living work of art, if you know what you’re doing.

The Perennial Plant Association & Ohio State University Extension Master Gardener Volunteer present the 12th annual P.L.A.N.T. seminar, “Creating the Well-Designed Mixed-Bed Planting from Design to Plant Selection.”

According to an association press release, mixed beds “represent the pinnacle of plant design.” Attendees will learn all the skills necessary to create living, breathing works of art out of small trees, shrubs, perennials, ornamental grasses, annuals and tropicals.

The day-long seminar will take place on Sunday, Jan. 20. Topics include extending color with annuals in the mixed border and woody plant ideas for the mixed-bed planting, among others.
