UF Poinsettia Industry Trials Date Set

The 2017 University of Florida Poinsettia Industry Trials will take place Dec. 5, 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., at the UF Environmental Horticulture Greenhouse Complex, 2475 Memorial Road in Gainesville.

Attendees will have the opportunity to see the latest poinsettia varieties evaluated in the National Poinsettia Trials along with University of Florida greenhouse research including poinsettia heat delay and natural day flowering, wood fiber, coleus varieties, “super foods” (ginger, turmeric), CT scanning of roots and biofilm management.

The trials will highlight 148 new poinsettia varieties from Beekenkamp, Dümmen Orange, Selecta/Ball, Suntory and Syngenta, along with University of Florida research on a range of greenhouse topics.
