UF to Offer Online Weed Management Course

On July 30, the University of Florida will offer its fourth course of the Greenhouse Training Online program for horticulture professionals.

The University of Florida IFAS Extension will present a course on Weed Management. This intermediate course is designed for growers with some experience and training, and offers Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for many States in the United States. The course is offered in English and Spanish.

Participants will learn about the different aspects of weed management in nurseries and greenhouses, including weed identification, developing herbicide programs, and the latest non-chemical methods of weed control.

The course runs from July 30 to Aug. 24, 2018. Registration is $199 per participant, and includes a personalized certificate of completion.

Over four weeks, there are streaming video lessons, readings and assignments (about 3-4 hours total commitment per week), which can be accessed at any time of day.
