UNH Greenhouse Open House to Take Place March 27-28

The University of New Hampshire (UNH) Macfarlane Research Greenhouses annual open house will take place March 27 and 28. The greenhouses will be open both days from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

UNH faculty, staff and students will present displays and lectures of interest to home gardeners and landscapers.

Attendees can experience:
-A seminar on cooking with herbs
-A Smurf Village showcase
-Poster displays with information from UNH research on cutting-edge genetics, vegetable and fruit breeding and more
-A display on common diseases and problems of garden and landscape plants courtesy of UNH Plant Diagnostic Lab and Cooperative Extension Plant Health Program
-A plant sale hosted by the Thompson School horticulture program
-Tours of the Macfarlane Research Greenhouses and the UNH high tunnels
-A scavenger hunt and coloring activity for children

The event is free and open to the public.
