Utah’s Medical Marijuana Initiative Campaign Kicks Off

Organizers of Utah’s medical marijuana initiative, Proposition 2, kicked off its campaign this past weekend.
“We think we’ve got a good tailwind of support behind us,” said DJ Schanz of the Utah Patient Coalition, which organized the event at the Overstock.com headquarters.
The all-ages event, which included food trucks, bounce houses and music, brought hundreds of supporters who were able to pick up lawn signs and shirts to distribute in advance of the November election.
If approved by Utah voters, Proposition 2 would allow patients with a doctor’s recommendation to obtain a medical marijuana card to purchase cannabis products from dispensaries.
