The 2026 PHS Philadelphia Flower Show will return to the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia from Feb. 28 to March 8, celebrating its 197th year as the nation’s largest and longest-running horticultural event.

Presented by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the show’s 2026 theme, “Rooted: Origins of American Gardening,” connects gardening traditions to the nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary. Proceeds support PHS programs focused on community greening, food access and workforce development across the Greater Philadelphia region.

Organizers will debut a redesigned layout structured around five core experiences: SEE, SHOP, MAKE, LEARN and PLAY, aimed at improving wayfinding and visitor engagement.

For greenhouse growers and horticulture professionals, highlights include displays of the 2026 PHS Gold Medal Plants, showcasing trees, shrubs and perennials selected for performance in Mid-Atlantic gardens, wildlife value and commercial availability. Competitive horticulture classes and educational sessions under the “Know to Grow” series will feature daily talks on topics such as native plants, pollinator landscapes, ecological design, orchids and vegetable production. Sessions are free with admission.

Additional exhibits explore botanical illustration, Indigenous land stewardship and orchid varieties named for U.S. first ladies.

Tickets are available on the PHS website. The show runs daily, with special events including Family Frolic on March 1 and Flowers After Hours on March 7.
