CEA Summit East announces 2026 Extension professional scholarship program
CEA Summit East will award 10 scholarships to Extension professionals for its 2026 conference in Danville, Virginia. Apply by July 8.
Cooperative Extension professionals can now apply for one of 10 scholarships to attend the 2026 CEA Summit East, scheduled for Sept. 15-16 at the Institute for Advanced Learning & Research (IALR) in Danville, Virginia. Applications are due July 8.
The scholarship program is designed to increase participation from Extension professionals who work with greenhouse growers, vertical farm operators and other protected-cropping producers. Each scholarship includes a full conference registration, one complimentary pass for a grower contact and a discount code for additional producers in the recipient’s network. Travel expenses are not included. Preference will be given to first-time attendees.
“CEA Summit East offers valuable opportunities for Extension professionals — from engaging sessions to facility tours and meaningful conversations with growers and researchers,” said Kaylee South, assistant professor of controlled environment agriculture (CEA) at Virginia Tech and associate director of research, industry and educational programs at the CEA Innovation Center. “We’re pleased to offer these scholarships to help broaden participation.”

CEA Summit East is produced by Indoor Ag-Con and the CEA Innovation Center, a joint project of IALR and the Virginia Tech College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The annual event brings together greenhouse growers, vertical farm operators, researchers, suppliers and industry professionals to discuss production practices, research and emerging technologies in controlled environment agriculture.
The conference will include keynote presentations, panel discussions, breakout sessions, tabletop exhibits and guided tours of the CEA Innovation Center research facility.
