Danziger previews 2027 genetics ahead of California Spring Trials

Danziger will preview new breeding introductions for 2027 during the upcoming California Spring Trials (CAST) in Gilroy, California.

The display will feature new genetics and series expansions across several ornamental crops commonly grown in greenhouse production, including petunia, impatiens, osteospermum, calibrachoa and nemesia.

“Each and every variety in our lineup is ready for its closeup,” said deputy CEO Ori Danziger. “This season is packed with vivid colors, striking patterns, and a few new expansions on old favorites.”

Petunia ‘Amazonas Midnight Finch’

Danziger adds three new colors to the Amazonas collection. These petunias are pushing the boundaries of the impact blooms can bring to the garden. Each selection brings the colors of the rainforest to any garden with ruffled green edges and unique bloom colors. Adding Amazonas petunias can bring an easy conversation starter to beautiful patio pots and hanging baskets.

Impatiens ‘Sol Luna Orange Duet’

Danziger’s Sol Luna Hybrid Impatiens series now features a beautiful bicolor variety. Orange Duet offers large, creamy orange and bright white blooms backed by deep dark foliage. A standout in the garden, and brings all the performance in sun or shade that you’ve come to expect from this uniform and vigorous series.

The Besties osteospermum series has added three new colors. Playful Bicolor Purple features lavender and light pink blooms with bright purple centers that bring vibrancy to the garden. Trialed,

Calibrachoa ‘Ombre Tyler Glam’

Nemesia ‘Nesia Arctic Blue’

The NESIA nemesia series expands with Arctic Blue, Hot Red and Gold, which offers improved heat tolerance for retail and garden performance. The entire collection blooms early with loads of flowers and is more heat tolerant than other nemesia on the market. Perfect for 6-packs, quarts and combos.

Danziger will also present updates to its Durabella mixed container program. The combinations are designed to simplify mixed container production with varieties bred and tested to grow well together while using one liner per variety.
