Danziger Varieties Receive International Awards

Two Danziger varieties were given top honors at the FlowersExpo in Russia.

The company took home gold medals in the “Novelty of the Year” competition held during the exhibition in Moscow earlier in September.

The first award was given for the breeding of ‘Amore Queen of Hearts’ petunia. Queen of Hearts is the best-selling variety in the Amore series.  Every Amore petunia features five perfect hearts on each bloom. This variety has a unique and stable heart shape pattern, early flowering ability, mounded habit and a one-of-a-kind retail story. This series works well in any petunia program, creating beautiful quarts, gallons and baskets.

The second award was given for the breeding of Inzignia Cloud. This new gypsophila variety features small cushion-like flowers that are voluminous and appealing.  Inzignia Cloud offers a long vase life; high yield and heavy, strong stems.

This variety was introduced to the market through an exclusive and creative collaboration between Danziger and leading gypsophila growers from Ecuador. All members of the group were selected for their high-quality production of gypsophila.

The joint venture includes: Florsani, Florequisa, MuchFlowers and Malima. The brand Inzignia Cloud was chosen and will be supported by Danziger and Inzignia group, it was presented at the competition by MuchFlowers, one of the group members.
