Dümmen Orange is marking 25 years of operation in North America in 2025, a milestone that highlights the company’s growth and innovation in the horticultural industry. Originally established in 2000 as Dümmen, the company positioned its North American headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, near the Ohio Florists Association Short Course, now known as Cultivate. In 2015, Dümmen rebranded to Dümmen Orange.

The company faced early challenges, such as difficulties with petunia cuttings, but overcame these obstacles through innovation. In 2004, Dümmen Orange launched the Potunia® series, the first daylength-neutral petunia, which became a success and dramatically increased sales. The company further revolutionized the market in 2008 with the introduction of Confetti Garden®, combining multiple species into a single rooted liner for uniform retail offerings.

“We are thrilled to recognize and celebrate just how far we have come here in the North American market over the past 25 years,” said Frank Magnusson, COO for North and Central America. “The innovative products we have produced during that time have us all remembering the past quarter-century while eagerly looking forward to our future.”

Dümmen Orange continues to focus on breeding and technology, with an emphasis on trait and resistance breeding. A 25% discount on new annual and perennial orders is being offered to customers through August 1, 2025, to mark the occasion.
