Dümmen Orange, Syngenta Flowers plan combined ornamental company
Dümmen Orange and Syngenta Flowers signed an agreement to combine ornamental breeding and propagation operations. See what the deal includes and learn what customers need to know.
Dümmen Orange and Syngenta Flowers have announced plans to form a joint venture combining their global ornamental breeding and propagation businesses.

The companies said the agreement, approved by both boards of directors, remains subject to regulatory approvals before closing. The new venture will combine the companies’ breeding, propagation, research and commercial operations across ornamental horticulture markets.
The partnership will merge Dümmen Orange’s cut flower portfolio with Syngenta Flowers’ seed varieties, along with annual, perennial and potted plant offerings from both companies.













According to the companies, the combined business will integrate research and development capabilities, production operations and commercial networks to improve efficiency and support growers worldwide.

Customers will continue working with their existing company contacts and supply arrangements during the transition period, while the companies plan to introduce expanded product offerings and streamlined logistics in the future.

Rabobank served as financial advisor to Syngenta Flowers, while UBS advised Dümmen Orange and its shareholders on the transaction.
The combined company will be named at a later date.
