The 2025 Farwest Show will feature a first-ever Climate Summit alongside new networking opportunities for nursery and greenhouse professionals. The event takes place Aug. 20 to 22 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland.

The Climate Summit will run Aug. 20 to 21 and is free for registered attendees. Day one will focus on research related to plant benefits such as carbon sequestration, while day two will center on policy solutions including carbon credits, mitigation practices and regulatory alignment. Panelists will include researchers, industry leaders and growers.

Networking will also be a focus of this year’s event. Scheduled activities include the NexGen networking event on Aug. 20, a Happy Hour celebration that evening, a Women in Horticulture gathering on Aug. 21 and the annual Pub Crawl later that night. In addition, consultant John Kennedy will deliver the keynote address, “Plant Your People,” which will outline strategies for building strong workplace culture and team development.

The Farwest Show will also feature more than 300 exhibitors, educational seminars, industry tours and product showcases. Oregon’s nursery industry generated $1.2 billion in plant sales in 2022, with offerings that include trees, shrubs, perennials and houseplants.
