Floriculture research grant proposals open through April 1
The Fred C. Gloeckner Foundation Research Fund of the American Floral Endowment is accepting grant proposals for floriculture research and educational projects. The deadline for submission is April 1.
Grants support research in plant pathology, breeding, agricultural economics, engineering, entomology and physiology. Universities, colleges and federal research institutions across the United States are eligible to apply.
Since 1960, the foundation has awarded $7.5 million for floriculture research. In 2024, it granted more than $134,000 for projects on disease resistance, sustainable growing practices and technology in the industry.
Applications must be submitted as a PDF to AFE research coordinator Laura Barth at lbarth@afeendowment.org. Approved proposals will be announced in June, with funds disbursed in August.
“The Fred C. Gloeckner Foundation Research Fund remains a vital resource for advancing research and innovation in floriculture,” said Laura Barth.
