Florida nursery to be sold at auction

A 72.2-acre commercial nursery property located approximately 7 miles northeast of Homestead, Florida, is set to be auctioned on Oct. 13, 2023, at 5 p.m. EDT via live auction with online bidding available.

Ranch & Farm Auctions, a division and trade name of Whitetail Properties Real Estate, will facilitate the auction, saying that “this business and real estate property is an extraordinary opportunity to expand a nursery or agribusiness investment with upside potential for future urban development.”

Homestead Nursery_AerialThe property is made up of an assembly of six lots of approximately 72 contiguous acres, with a 16,000-square-foot warehouse and office. In addition, there are 25 acres of shade houses with the opportunity to expand on more than 30 unused acres. The parcel could also be considered for future land development once the urban boundary development line is expanded. It features three entrance and exit points.

The auction offering will be comprised of the following:

  • Tract 1: 62.2 +/- acres with nursery business and assets.
  • Tract 2: 10 +/- acres of vacant land.

Pre-auction offers are encouraged if buyers would like to separate the nursery business from the real estate.

“This interior foliage nursery is truly a turnkey property,” said Erik Flett, the representing land specialist for Whitetail Properties Real Estate. “It operates using the most cutting-edge technology, and it was built with state-of-the-art hurricane-resistant structures. In addition, the recent widening of Krome Avenue brought the development district to within one mile of the property, so it will be ideally suited for future residential use.”

Pre-bidding closes at 4 a.m. EDT on Oct. 13, 2023, and the auction webcast will start at 5 p.m. EDT that same day. For more information and to place a bid, visit Ranch & Farm Auctions.
