GLASE launches training platform for CEA professionals
GLASE launches a training platform with on-demand courses for CEA professionals, covering greenhouse systems, lighting and climate control to improve operations.
The Greenhouse Lighting and Systems Engineering (GLASE) consortium has introduced the GLASE Store, a new platform offering on-demand courses and tools for controlled environment agriculture (CEA) professionals.
The platform provides training to help growers improve greenhouse operations through advanced systems and technology. Courses cover topics such as greenhouse coverings, supplemental lighting, and climate control strategies.
One available course, the Greenhouse Systems Short Course, focuses on high-performance greenhouse coverings, curtains and lighting to enhance yields while reducing energy costs. Another, the Plant Lighting Short Course, provides insight into horticultural lighting systems and best practices with input from GLASE, OptimIA and LAMP experts. The Greenhouse Climate Control Short Course explores environmental factors like lighting, temperature and humidity.
“This platform delivers practical, science-based knowledge to help growers optimize their production systems,” said Erico Mattos, executive director of GLASE.
The GLASE Store is open to the public, GLASE Individual members and GLASE Industry Advisory Board members.
All courses are available to purchase and watch in the GLASE Library at your convenience. If you have any questions, please contact Extension Support Specialist Matthew Del Buono at mjd378@cornell.edu.
