Back2Basics has launched a series of on-demand training webinars aimed at helping greenhouse growers improve crop quality, reduce losses and increase operational efficiency.
The online platform offers 15-minute, 30-minute and one-hour sessions that cover essential horticultural practices. Designed for flexibility, the recorded webinars allow teams to train anytime and anywhere.
Topics include managing environmental controls for better yields, preventing pest and disease issues and improving production profitability. The goal is to provide growers with practical tools and foundational knowledge that can be applied directly in greenhouse operations.
Two featured sessions include: “Water Quality Grower Tips” by Byran Fuhrmann of SePRO Corp. and “Building Greenhouse Substrates” by Gladys Opiyo of Profile Products.
Fuhrmann discusses how water pH and conductivity impact plant health and explains best practices for source water quality. “Understanding the chemistry behind water helps improve pesticide performance and overall crop outcomes,” he said.
Opiyo addresses the importance of consistent growing media and explores substrate properties, as well as how to manage supply chain challenges related to substrate availability.
These webinars aim to support both new and experienced growers with accessible education on key production topics.
