AFE’s Grow Pro to host webinar on thrips control and emerging UV-C technology

American Floral Endowment (AFE) will host a free Grow Pro webinar on thrips management and emerging UV-C research at 1 p.m. EDT July 28, featuring presentations from industry and university experts. 

The session, titled “Thrips Get Lit: Bright Ideas for Thrips Management and UV-C Research Updates,” will feature JC Chong of SePro and Richard Bamford of the University of Vermont. Mason Marshall of Texas A&M University will serve as moderator.

The webinar will focus on practical strategies for managing thrips in floriculture production and provide an update on an American Floral Endowment (AFE)-funded research project evaluating UV-C light as a potential management tool. Presenters will discuss how current best practices fit within integrated pest management (IPM) programs and examine the role emerging technologies may play in future pest management.

The session is scheduled for 1 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, July 28, and is free to attend with registration.
