Mercy Wellness Cotati enhances control with Priva partnership
Mercy Wellness Cotati has upgraded its cannabis cultivation facility in Sonoma County, California, with an environmental control system from Priva to improve consistency and yield.
Founder and CEO Brandon Levine launched the 6,000-square-foot indoor grow with a vision of premium cultivation, manufacturing and distribution in one location. Early environmental controls, however, left the team facing issues with humidity and integration, according to director of cultivation Ben Horner.
“Before Priva was installed in the rooms, we had virtually no control over the environment, mainly our humidity,” Horner said.
After past experiences with unreliable systems, the team turned to Priva, a company known for its expertise in horticultural control technologies. Priva’s integrated controls now allow Horner to steer crops precisely through environmental regulation, fertigation and automated responses to key changes like vapor pressure deficit.

The switch has saved labor, reduced human error and improved plant health, Horner said. The system also provides remote access and support, giving the team confidence in maintaining crop performance around the clock.
Priva’s controls have contributed to improved yields and consistent quality, demonstrated by awards from the California State Fair. The Mercy team credits their success to the functionality of the technology and the ongoing support from the Priva team.
Horner said the advanced system not only improves plant care but also gives him more time with family. “Now I’m able to have confidence that the machines will keep the environment steady for me,” he said.
