Ohio’s Cresco Labs Gets Green Light to Grow
Cresco Labs got the OK on Friday from Ohio state official to begin growing medical marijuana at its facility in Yellow Springs.
The Ohio Department of Commerce signed off on the certificate of operations for the large-scale cultivation facility. The company plans to grow over 30 strains of cannabis for Ohio patients.
Cresco Labs, which is based in Chicago and operates in six states, built a 50,000-square-foot hybrid greenhouse in Yellow Springs that will use geothermal heating and cooling as well as LED lighting.
“We’ve made a great deal of progress and are one step closer to providing relief to patients throughout Ohio,” said Cresco Cheif Executive Charles Bachtell in a written statement.
