Platt Hill Nursery acquires Village Green’s Riverside operations

Village Green recently announced it has reached an agreement with Platt Hill Nursery for the sale of its Riverside, Illinois, operations.

According to the newsletter, while Village Green intends to close at the end of 2025, “we are thrilled to be passing the torch to another well-established family-owned garden center with whom we will forever be rooted together due to our shared legacy and commitment to keeping a garden center in this community.

“Platt Hill Nursery Rockford will be open in time for spring. In the months ahead, we will celebrate Village Green’s past, share more information about Platt Hill Nursery and look forward to the exciting future. Stay tuned for more information about our final holiday season and final clearance sale so we can make way for Platt Hill Nursery Rockford.”
