Santa Barbara International Orchid Show returns in March
The Santa Barbara Orchid Show returns March 20 to 22 with global growers and education. View highlights and plan your visit.
The 78th Annual International Orchid Show will be held March 20 to 22 at the Earl Warren Showgrounds in Santa Barbara, California.
The event will feature growers and exhibitors from multiple countries, competitive judging and educational programming relevant to greenhouse growers, hobbyists and retailers. Awards will include Best Orchid in Show and Grand Champion Cymbidium.
This year’s theme, “Orchid Escape,” will highlight orchid habitats and display techniques used by professional growers. In addition to exhibits, the show will offer grower demonstrations, lectures, hands-on sessions and VIP tours focused on orchid care and cultivation.
“The Orchid Show has such a legacy because of the absolute joy and beauty it brings to attendees; it’s like stepping into a floral wonderland of rare blooms,” said Lauris Rose, president of the Santa Barbara International Orchid Show.
Vendors will sell orchids, production supplies and specialty items. Attendees can also participate in evening programs, including Orchid Sound Bath and Yoga, a four-course Orchid Dinner and Orchids After Dark.
Tickets are available online and in limited quantities at the box office. Group tickets and multi-day passes can be reserved in advance.
The Santa Barbara International Orchid Show is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports orchid education and outreach through its annual event.
