Source.ag has appointed Alberto Carbajal Rodriguez as AI solutions specialist in Mexico, expanding its presence in the country’s protected horticulture sector. The Dutch company develops AI-driven tools for high-tech greenhouses.

Carbajal Rodriguez previously worked at Priva and was involved with CEICKOR, known as Mexico’s Greenhouse University, where he supported grower education in protected horticulture. In his new role, he will work directly with Mexican greenhouse growers to implement data-driven strategies aimed at improving yield consistency and production efficiency.

Tomas Geurts, general manager of North America, said the hire reflects the company’s focus on local expertise.

Source.ag said Carbajal Rodriguez will help growers integrate AI tools into existing operations, bridging traditional growing knowledge with advanced data analytics.

The company said the position is intended to strengthen partnerships with Mexican growers and support the adoption of AI-based cultivation practices across the region.
