Source.ag partners with Bayer for AI horticulture

Source.ag, an AI solutions provider for vegetable growers, has partnered with Bayer to advance AI-powered horticulture. The collaboration aims to empower growers with innovative tools to optimize greenhouse efficiency and maximize yields.

The partnership involves testing Source.ag’s Source Plant App and Source Track at Bayer’s De Ruiter Experience Center in the Netherlands. The ultramodern facility, which grows tomato and cucumber varieties year-round, will leverage Source.ag’s virtual simulation technology to predict plant growth under diverse conditions.

“Bayer decided to move forward with Source.ag, which is top in class. We are really happy with this collaboration,” said John van der Knaap, operational lead at the De Ruiter Experience Center.

Source.ag’s technology supports growers in 18 countries, producing vegetables for over 60 million people. The company’s AI tools create virtual replicas of operations, allowing growers to simulate strategies and manage risks more effectively.

The partnership aligns with a shared commitment to sustainable agriculture and global food security.
