Star Roses Launches New Brand, Introduces App

Star Roses and Plants has launched its new optional brand, Bloomables. Bloomables is a collection of Star Roses and Plants’ best flowering genetics that are easy-to-grow for the grower and the consumer.

“These varieties of roses and woody plants look great at retail and offer high reward in the garden,” says Bradd Yoder, president of Star Roses and Plants. “This one-of-a-kind lineup is the only program to focus on the blooms and flowers of plants, allowing consumers to have a garden that blooms all season.”

Bloomables consists of over 35 different varieties that have a noteworthy flower and standout garden performance. The varieties may have bright colors, unique textures or interesting foliage. The optional brand will be available at retail in spring of 2020.

Bloomables’ consumer-friendly tag presents the common name first, which consumers are more likely to recognize and there is a simple call out, showing why the plant is special or how it can be used.

“We want to boost consumer confidence by making roses less scary and simplifying shrubs,” explains Kyle McKean, director of marketing. “We hope to do that through our tags, containers and other point of purchase materials.”

Star Roses and Plants also has launched Star Track Go, a mobile app with functionality that gives customers access to Star Track anywhere at any time.

The app allows customers to place orders, check availability of thousands of items across Star Roses and Plants’ rose, woody, berry and perennial offerings, change or track shipments and more.

“This app is an easy to use tool that provides growers with the information they need for quick and easy business on-the-go,” says Tom O’Connell, sales manager at Star Roses and Plants.

The mobile app offers many features including:

  • Ability to search inventory from all suppliers
  • Quick access to plant information and photos
  • Up to date availability and pricing
  • 24/7 access
  • Ability to make changes on orders and file claims
  • Shipping notifications and the ability to track individual orders

Star Track Go is available to download for free on Google Play and App Store.
