The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has granted federal registration of new Segovis fungicide from Syngenta. State registrations are pending.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has granted federal registration of new Segovis fungicide from Syngenta. State registrations are pending.

Segovis controls downy mildew and Phytophthora spp. on ornamentals crops, trees and shrubs in greenhouses and nurseries.

According to Syngenta, Segovis contains oxathiapiprolin, a systemic fungicide that is effective at low use rates and offers these additional features:

  • Four- hour restricted-entry interval and no signal word on the label;
  • Rotation partner with fungicides like Subdue, Heritage or Micora;
  • Labeled for use in greenhouses, shade and lath houses, outdoor nursery production, retail nurseries and commercial landscapes; and
  • Can be applied as a foliar spray or drench
