Terra Nova to Participate in International Horticulture Exhibition in China
Terra Nova Nurseries will participate in the 2019 International Horticultural Exhibition, in Beijing, China, April 29-Oct. 7, 2019.
Terra Nova will be the only American company among the companies affiliated with the display exhibition and will showcase 60 varieties and a total of 50,000 plants in various sections of the Beijing Expo Park.
The company also will have its own “Terra Nova Garden” within the Expo Garden Town.
Terra Nova is working with partner company and licensee Beijing Florascape Ltd., to ensure all logistical planting and garden design procedures are executed properly. Over the past five years that Terra Nova has been partnered with Beijing Florascape, the two companies have introduced more than 100 perennial varieties to the Chinese market.
“Terra Nova will be focusing primarily on the garden design and layout, whereas Beijing Florascape will be responsible for growing the plants and seeing the installation to completion,” said Kevin Chen, Terra Nova Nurseries’ Asia representative. “In the two years leading up to the exhibition, Beijing Floracape has been trialing various Terra Nova plants and found a number of varieties that performed well in the specific climate of the region.”
Select, cold-tolerant and early blooming Terra Nova Nurseries varieties that will be showcased at the gardens include Tradescantia ‘Lucky Charm’; Tradescantia ‘Sunshine Charm’; Leucanthemum ‘Bridal Bouquet’; Penstemon ‘Grape Taffy’; Kniphofia ‘Mango Popsicle’; among other varieties.
