Travis Higginbotham to Kick Off Cannabis and Hemp Week
Join Hemp Production News, Cannabis Product News and GPN for the 2021 Cannabis & Hemp Week, featuring three 1-hour interactive webcasts with industry experts addressing the latest issues facing growers. Cannabis & Hemp Week will begin with a session presented by Travis Higginbotham, vice president of production at The Harborside Group.
Higginbotham’s “What to Know Before You Grow” presentation will cover how proper planning can ensure your production forecast is met. This presentation will discuss greenhouse square foot utilization, departmental team management vs. labor costs and overtime costs, throughput metrics per production stage, sales vs. production alignment and how all of these are interconnected.
Prior to his current position at a medicinal cannabis company, Higginbotham worked as an ornamental grower and as a hemp grower, and also provided technical support and services related to lighting for cannabis and hemp growers. He also owns a horticultural consultancy company to deliver true horticultural expertise and innovative thinking to the cannabis market. Higginbotham is also an alumnus of GPN’s Forty Under 40 program.
