Griffin to Host Hemp Workshops for 38th Annual Expo

Griffin, one of the largest horticultural brokers and suppliers in the United States, announced today new educational hemp workshops for both the Massachusetts and Pennsylvania Expo venues. Growers will learn about infrastructure needs, crop nutrition and crop protection.  For a full description of the sessions and registration details, please visit https://www.griffins.com/cgw19.

The Massachusetts workshop is scheduled for Aug. 21 at the DCU Center in Worcester. The Pennsylvania workshop is slated for Sept. 24 at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square. Each is a half-day program being held in conjunction with the company’s Grower & Retailer Expos, which are scheduled for Aug. 21-22 and Sept. 25-26 respectively.

“These latest additions to our popular hemp workshops build on our previous highly successful events,” said Tami Van Gaal, division leader for controlled-environment agriculture (CEA) at Griffin. “We carefully crafted these workshops to meet the needs of an evolving industry and the grower community thinking about adding hemp as a seasonal crop or those considering a full conversion.”

Each workshop will begin at 11:30 am with a catered lunch, followed by the educational sessions. These leading-edge workshops will be presented by Griffin’s innovative product and technical experts who will also be ready to address any questions you may have.  Advance registration is required to attend. Cost is $99.00 per person; group discounts are available.
