Continuing Our Quest for Editorial Excellence By Tim Hodson

Last week, I was notified by the publishers of FOLIO: magazine that GPN had been named as a finalist for the 2019 Eddie Awards.

FOLIO: is the magazine for people who publish magazines and the Eddie Awards recognize “excellence in outstanding magazine editorial and design.”

The January 2019 issue of GPN was  named a finalist in the B2B Full Issue category of  this year’s awards — the publishing industry’s most prestigious and coveted honor for editorial excellence.

“We are proud to be named a finalist for one of the industry’s highest honors,” CEO Matt McCallum said. “This recognition is the result of dedication, hard work and the industry expertise of our award-winning editorial team. We’re proud to be listed among some exceptional finalists in this category, including GPN’s sister publication, Vegetable Growers News.”

For 25 years, the Eddie have celebrated excellence in magazine editorial and design across all sectors of the industry.

For the 2019 awards, a panel of more than 300 judges selected finalists from among more than 2,500 entries. Winners will be announced in late October.

Our sister titles also did well this year. Other Great American Media Services publications making the finals in the 2019 Eddie and Ozzie Awards include: Coach and Athletic Director; Gift Shop; Gift Shop Pets; Stationery Trends; Fruit Growers News; Vegetable Growers News; and Spudman.
