A memorial tribute has been established through the American Floral Endowment (AFE) to honor Tom Douglas Moeller, a longtime floral industry leader who died July 26, 2026, at age 62. The tribute will benefit the FTD Fund at AFE, continuing Moeller’s longstanding support of the organization’s mission.

Moeller joined FTD in 2010 after a career in consumer-packaged goods with Nabisco, Schering Plough and the William Wrigley Jr. Company. During his time at FTD, he led the Florist Division for 11 years, later consulted for Passion Roses, and returned in 2023 as president of florist partnerships and operations. Throughout more than 15 years in the floral industry, he focused on strengthening relationships with florist members and expanding support for FTD’s network.

“Tom dedicated more than 15 years to the floral industry, joining FTD in 2010 and serving in a variety of leadership roles throughout his career,” Mike Chapin, chief executive officer of FTD, said. “He was a passionate and inspiring leader whose energy, optimism, and commitment to success left a lasting impact on FTD and our florist members.”

Moeller also supported AFE beyond his professional responsibilities. The FTD Fund was established in 2013, and that year FTD was recognized during AFE’s Annual Dinner for contributions made under Moeller’s leadership. The fund continues to support initiatives that strengthen the floral industry.

A memorial visitation is scheduled from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at Sullivan Funeral Home in Hinsdale, Illinois. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hinsdale. Donations in Moeller’s memory may be made to the Tom Moeller Memorial Tribute benefiting the FTD Fund.
