Bailey names Amanda Flint product development manager

Bailey has named Amanda Flint as its new product development manager as longtime leader Debbie Lonnee prepares for retirement at the end of 2025.

Lonnee, who has guided the company’s plant development initiatives for over 30 years, will continue to support the team as senior product developer during the transition.

“Amanda Flint begins her role with a strong foundation, thanks to Debbie’s continued mentorship and deep industry experience,” said Alec Charais, chief marketing and product development officer.

Flint brings more than a decade of industry experience in product leadership. In her new role, she will oversee breeder relations worldwide, coordinate product trials and manage go-to-market strategies for Bailey Intellectual Property. This includes genetics developed for Bailey’s branded plant lines such as Endless Summer Hydrangeas, First Editions Shrubs & Trees and Easy Elegance Roses.

“The caliber of people at Bailey and genetic offering over its 120 years of operations is truly inspirational,” Flint said. “I’m honored to be part of a team that is shaping the future of horticulture.”

Charais said Flint’s appointment strengthens the company’s commitment to innovation and new plant introductions, adding that her background in horticulture and strategic management will support future growth.

Flint is based at Bailey’s headquarters and began her role immediately.
