Bloomin’ Easy has introduced an upgraded version of its Miss Diggs artificial intelligence gardening assistant while announcing a slate of exclusive plant introductions for the 2027 growing season.

The company released Miss Diggs 2.0 on June 19, adding enhanced artificial intelligence capabilities designed to provide personalized gardening support through the Bloomin’ Easy Care+ app and bloomineasyplants.com. The updated chatbot draws information from multiple horticultural databases and can analyze plant photos, recommend Bloomin’ Easy varieties and help troubleshoot issues such as pests, soil health and landscape design.

“Miss Diggs is a logical upgrade to our first version, which was revolutionary just two short years ago,” said Madison House, consumer marketing manager. “Now consumers and industry professionals can leverage Miss Diggs and the Bloomin’ Easy Care+ app to engage with our support in ways that feel both modern and very Bloomin’ Easy.”

The AI announcement follows the company’s introduction of 11 new perennials and shrubs for its 2027 collection. The lineup includes four shrubs: Leucothoe ‘Firestar’, philadelphus ‘Milky Way’, spiraea ‘Sugar High’ and thuja ‘Forever Young’. Seven new perennials include agastache ‘Peach Pearl’, dianthus ‘Temptress’, geum ‘Tempo Coral’, hemerocallis ‘Citrus Bliss’, hosta’ Red Ninja’ (top photo), lavandula ‘Little Lizzie’ and veronica ‘En Pointe’.
