This initiative, inspired by Mike Gooder of Plantpeddler and supported by Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig, aims to elevate the recognition of horticulture within the state, which is a significant contributor to Iowa’s economy, encompassing sectors such as fruit and vegetable production, arboriculture, floriculture, landscaping, nursery and greenhouse operations, farmer’s markets and agritourism.
The week-long celebration will feature various events and activities designed to showcase the diverse contributions of horticulture to Iowa’s economy and quality of life. Join the fun on social media with #IowaHortWeek.
