A pathogen that has greatly affected California cannabis growers, resulting in huge losses, has been found across the country in Massachusetts.
Hop Latent Viroid can infect cannabis and hemp plants without giving obvious symptoms. Infected plants can grow shorter during the vegetative stage and will have smaller flower buds. The final product can have up to 50% less cannabinoid content than healthy plants with up to a 30% reduction in yield.
