Plantpeddler poinsettia trial event returns for 2025
Plantpeddler will host its annual Poinsettia Variety Day in Cresco on Dec. 4, 2025, offering growers and horticulture professionals a chance to evaluate more than 200 commercial and pre-release poinsettia varieties under consistent production conditions.
The event features side by side comparisons of benchmark and new varieties, with major breeders presenting their highlighted selections. Organizers say the trial provides growers with an opportunity to assess color, habit and performance ahead of future production decisions.
“There is no charge for this event and lunch is included,” said secretary Stacy Bryant in the release.
A social gathering is scheduled the evening prior, Dec. 3, at Atomic Pizza in downtown Cresco from 6 to 8 p.m. Hotel rooms are available at the Cresco Super 8 Motel for attendees.
