Proven Winners posts 2024 scholarship winners

Proven Winners continues to support the future of the green industry, and recently announced the winners of its 2024 scholarship program. The recipients were chosen for their passion for the industry and demonstrated excellence in their respective fields of study.

Once again, the applicants have impressed and inspired the selection committee. “We were blown away by the passion and ambition of this year’s Proven Winners scholarship winners,” says Kevin Hurd, vice president of product development. “Their dedication to improving lives through horticulture is truly inspiring.”

This year’s winners are:

Rick Schoellhorn – Proven Winners Grower Excellence Scholarship Awarded $5,000 to Patrick Veazie, North Carolina State University

The Ushio Sakazaki – Proven Winners Plant Breeding Scholarship Awarded $5,000 to Charles Colvin, The Pennsylvania State University

Proven Winners Innovations in Horticultural Marketing Scholarship Awarded $5,000 to Isabel Will, Virginia Tech

Technical or 2-Year Post-Secondary Institution Scholarship Awarded $2,000 to Tyler Cebulskie, Cincinnati State

Technical or 2-Year Post-Secondary Institution Scholarship Awarded $2,000 to Gabrielle Fernandez, Cuyahoga Community College

Technical or 2-Year Post-Secondary Institution Scholarship Awarded $2,000 to Joseph Fritz, Cuyahoga Community College

Technical or 2-Year Post-Secondary Institution Scholarship Awarded $2,000 to Sadie Gerhardt, The University of British Columbia

Technical or 2-Year Post-Secondary Institution Scholarship Awarded $2,000 to Sheila Grubb, Spokane Community College
