SAF seeks entries for 2025 Marketer of the Year
The Society of American Florists is now accepting entries for its 31st Annual Marketer of the Year Contest, recognizing successful marketing campaigns across the floral industry. SAF member businesses, including growers, retailers, wholesalers, importers and manufacturers, are eligible to apply through May 31, 2025.
“The Marketer of the Year contest isn’t just about flashy visuals — it’s about strategy, execution and measurable success,” said Melanie Spilbeler, marketing director of Choice Farms and a 2024 contest judge.
Campaigns from the past five years are eligible and will be judged based on originality and results by a panel that includes floral industry professionals and at least one non-industry marketing expert. Previous winners have included Tiger Lily Florist for its community-based digital strategy and CalFlowers for its industry-wide “Flowers. Self-care made easy.” campaign.
The contest is open to businesses that have operated for at least two years and are in good standing with vendors.
The winner will receive a $5,000 cash prize sponsored by Design Master, free registration to SAF’s Annual Convention and a cover feature in the September/October 2025 issue of Floral Management magazine. They will also be recognized during SAF’s Annual Convention in front of industry leaders.
For horticulture and greenhouse growers, the contest offers a platform to showcase marketing strategies that have driven customer engagement, brand visibility and business growth.
The deadline to enter is May 31, 2025. For full contest details and submission instructions, click here.
