Sakata Seed America announces leadership transition
Sakata Seed America announces leadership changes with Ed Flores as new CEO and Dave Armstrong transitioning to executive chairman, effective April 1, 2025.
Flores joined Sakata Seed America in 2021 as chief operating officer and has played a key role in strengthening supply chain capabilities and overseeing the company’s headquarters relocation to Woodland, California. He has over 20 years of experience in regional business leadership, supply chain management and strategy development.
John Nelson, currently executive vice president, will transition to executive advisor until his retirement in January 2026. Hiroyuki (Hiro) Hashimoto will take on the role of vice president.
Sakata Seed America, which has operated for over 50 years, remains focused on providing high-quality seeds and genetic solutions to growers across North and Central America.
