Sakata Seed America announces leadership transition
Sakata Seed America will undergo an executive leadership transition effective April 1, 2025. Dave Armstrong, after 15 years as president and CEO, will become executive chairman, continuing to provide strategic guidance. Eduardo (Ed) Flores will take over as president and CEO, leading the company’s operations.
Flores joined Sakata Seed America in 2021 as chief operating officer and has played a key role in strengthening supply chain capabilities and overseeing the company’s headquarters relocation to Woodland, California. He has over 20 years of experience in regional business leadership, supply chain management and strategy development.
John Nelson, currently executive vice president, will transition to executive advisor until his retirement in January 2026. Hiroyuki (Hiro) Hashimoto will take on the role of vice president.
