Suntory Flowers Europe names new leadership team
Suntory Flowers Europe has announced the appointment of Ties Klapwijk as president-managing director and Munenori Inagaki as vice president, effective April 2025. The new leadership team will oversee the European division, which was officially established earlier this year following the company’s acquisition of long-time partner MNP.
Klapwijk, who brings industry experience and a focus on innovation, emphasized the company’s role in shaping ornamental horticulture. “It is an honour to lead a company that has played such a defining role in shaping the ornamental horticulture landscape,” Klapwijk said.
Inagaki has worked in the industry for over 30 years and has spent the last 13 with Suntory Flowers Ltd. in Japan. His new role supports collaboration between the Japanese and European operations.
Yasunori Yomo, president of Suntory Flowers Ltd., will continue to lead the global business from Japan and support the company’s expansion in Europe.
The announcement also recognized Jeroen Egtberts for his four decades of work connecting Japanese and European floriculture markets.
Suntory Flowers Europe will continue to focus on product development, customer support and innovation. The company is known for branding and breeding popular varieties such as Surfinia, Sundaville and Senetti.
This leadership transition underscores Suntory Flowers’ investment in strengthening its presence in the European horticulture sector and its long-term collaboration with partners and growers.
