TPIE Roadshow Production Tour Stops
TPIE Road Show offers a Production Tour showcasing Florida’s nursery and landscape industry on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023.
Spend the day with industry peers as TPIE showcases some of Apopka’s premier tropical foliage operations. The tour will leave from the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S Franklin St, Tampa, Florida, and you will spend the day learning from wholesale growers whose mission is to bring plants indoors. Lunch and refreshments are included.
Stops will include:
• Costa Farms, a wholesale growing operation which discovers, develops, and grows plants for your home and life — indoors and out. The company sprouted in 1961 when its founder, Jose Costa Sr., purchased 30 acres south of Miami to grow fresh, vine-ripened tomatoes in the winter and calamondin citrus in the summer. Attendees will tour Costa’s facility located in the heart of Apopka, Florida.
• Moss Hill Foliage Inc., established in 1976, specializes in the wholesale production of indoor tropical foliage cellpack liners. All of the company’s finished foliage is germinated and cultivated from fresh seed harvested from around the world.
• AG2TC, which produces and sells tissue culture liners on a wholesale level. Tissue culture allows the growth of nearly a limitless number of a specific plant. This is particularly useful for mass-production of plants with curative or desired properties.
• LiveTrends Design Group was started in 2013 with the goal of changing how living décor is designed, produced and marketed worldwide. Since its inception, the company has crafted two of the most successful mass market consumer brands in the industry: LiveTrends and Urban Jungle, along with rapidly growing its third: Beyou.
