Impatiens
Bounce interspecific impatiens offer the habit and flower count of Impatiens walleriana but they’re resistant to downy mildew and thrive in sun and shade. The well-branched plants bounce back after wilt. Maintain media pH between 6.2 and 6.8. Best results are achieved if media with the correct pH is used starting with propagation. Fertilize with 175- to 225-ppm nitrogen. Start with low concentrations after roots show and increase with plant development to the recommended levels.Grow plants on the dry side. In general, avoid drying out or overwatering the substrate as this will affect plant quality and finishing time. Root system will suffer when conditions change from one extreme to the other.During rooting, keep soil temperature measured in the liner at 70° F until cuttings are well rooted. After planting in the liner, keep temperature up until roots have developed nicely. Afterward, maintain temperature at 68-79° F days and 59-64° F nights. The use of cool morning treatments will improve plant quality, flower and foliage color, and plant habit.
