Pleasant View Gardens Creates Pick-Up FacilitySource: Pleasant View Gardens

Pleasant View Gardens has opened a new facility, the Pick-Up Yard at Pleasant View, at its Pembroke, N.H., location.

Beginning April 27, garden centers, nurseries and landscapers will be able to stop in and purchase finished plants in any combination – with no minimum required. Pleasant View will offer Proven Winners and Proven Selections annuals, perennials, herbs, hanging baskets, combination planters and ColorChoice flowering shrubs. With the wholesale pick-up market opening at 7 a.m., landscapers can be loaded with plants and on their way to the job site early each day, while garden centers could restock a popular variety if they sold out over the weekend.

A new, 12,000-square-foot greenhouse is under construction at the Pembroke location, less than half a mile off of Interstate 106. “For many years, our customers have asked us to provide a service like this, and in today’s economy, we want to do everything we can to help garden centers and nurseries be successful,” said Carol Huntington, marketing manager at Pleasant View Gardens. “We feel that we’ll be helping fill a niche out there by offering fresh plants in smaller quantities throughout the season.”

The Pick-Up Yard at Pleasant View will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 7 a.m. to noon Saturdays. Customers can call ahead and place orders so they’re ready to be loaded when they arrive, or they can simply stop in, stroll through the new greenhouse and select just what they need that day. No appointment will be necessary, and there is no minimum order requirement.

For more information, contact Ben Huntington at (603) 520-5446 or Pleasant View Gardens’ main office at (603) 435-8361.
