New Directors for National Garden Bureau
At a recent meeting during the ASTA Flower & Vegetable Seed Conference, the National Garden Bureau elected two new directors to the Board.
At a recent meeting during the ASTA Flower & Vegetable Seed Conference in California, the National Garden Bureau elected two new directors to its Board.
National Garden Bureau announced that the two new directors are: Mark Schermer of Fides North America and Jen Calhoun of Ernst Benary of America.
“Today we have a unique opportunity to use technology and social media to not only provide useful information, but to create an interactive energy around gardening. I look forward to helping National Garden Bureau bring that excitement to the home gardener,” says Calhoun about her goal for NGB. Inspired by some European initiatives, Dutch-born Schermer brings an international perspective to the board. ” Let’s think outside the box to create awareness for what gardening can do for individuals and society,” he said. National Garden Bureau’s Officers are: President Stephanie Turner of Park Seed, Vice President Duane Sinning of Floranova Ltd. and Treasurer/Past President Bill Watson of Grimes Horticulture.
